I have never understood how anyone could admire Ayn Rand and her blatant selfishness but thousands do. I think it might appeal to youngsters because no cops means lots of drugs.

The ruling class used that mad woman, Ayn Rabd, as their pawn. Atlas Shrugged is a simple story that anyone could manage to understand, even college undergraduates.

When I was young I was taught that being greedy was bad. We were told to share, even if we didn't always like it much. But that got drilled into us, even at Sunday school.

But then I started getting told that being greedy is very good. Greed makes the world go around, not love, they said. But the mega rich are very greedy, so they had to get that into their putrid 'greed is good' economic theories into it somewhere. So they paid lackeys and economists at the universities very handsomely to spill out their right wing propaganda. And the religious Right went along with it. Cruel to be kind, they say.

The world is turned up-side-down, where bad is good and good is bad. And being very selfish and greedy is the path to salvation. Sitting on your butt harming no one is very wicked, but starting wars is good for the economy and so is saintly. Who owns the propaganda machine? Not me or you.
