Aside from the technical questions of "who dunnit and what did they do it with?" I keep going back to Cui Bono?

-- who benefited from shooting down MH17 near the border with Russia?

-- the US knew exactly what happened within hours of the crash. Who benefited from keeping that information secret all this time?

-- how does a pro-Western, anti-Putin newspaper benefit from publishing a report that blames the Kiev regime?

-- who would benefit most from settling the MH17 controversy and lifting the sanctions against Russia?

My takeaway is that regardless of who/what shot down MH17, Germany wants to defuse the situation and lift the sanctions. Germany was probably behind the Novaya Gazeta report.

Regardless of the headlines, we, the public, should arrive at the following conclusion.

The "real" evidence has ruled out, Russia officialdom and any group or individual that could be plausibly linked to Putin.

The acknowledged reach of US intelligence, surveillance and their monitoring of airspace renders it implausible that the US does not know the details of the incident.

Frankly, the Russians probably know the details as well.

If the claim that, the Russians did it could be proven or shown as plausible, then no doubt the MSM would have been carrying the water for that claim ad nauseam.

That has been the MO since the whole Ukraine coup d'état debacle was spawned.

The Russians likely have evidence that demonstrates beyond any reasonable doubt who did what and since the West / US is running the show, this has become a bargaining chip.

It must be in the interest of Russia to hold these cards rather than play them at this time?
