James K. Galbraith — The Real Thing: An Anti-austerity European Government

Report from Athens.

Exposing the troika's neo-colonial agenda, which, given European politics, is Germany's agenda under Angel Merkel. Merkel holds the key. Which way will she turn it? While this is apparently an economic crisis, it's foundation is political and so it can only be resolved politically.

While JKG is an economist, he holds a professorial chair in government and business relations, and therefore, he understand the overarching political and institutional dimension of the issues extremely well.

So far the pussy-left as agreed to be a good servant of their lords and comply with the masters (troika and extenral governments like Germany). After all, they want to be accepted in the VSP club of clueless central bankers and politicians.

The only thing that matters right now are facts and actions, everything else is just words, which are worthless as the people telling them have lost all their credibility.

Jamie is staying positive.

Note that this speech transcript is from the 20th March.

Galbraith said The troika was a thing of the past. That it was finished, that the Greek public had rejected being ruled this way.

Huh ?

... may well be, within a short period of time, on a track of some recovery, some improvement in jobs performance.

Dream on, Jamie. Ain't gonna happen with the Troika-mandated budget surplus.

I think well of Jamie but he seems to be blinded by personal relationship with Yanis.
