NASCAR Legend at National Prayer Breakfast: "If you don't know Jesus, you're going to hell."

With all of the economic chaos being reported out of the Eurozone this week, it was hardly noticed that the National Prayer Breakfast was held this week with many world leaders in attendance (including the Dalai Lama!)

Apparently they let this NASCAR guy Waltrip get up and spew falsehood.  Here was Waltrip at one point (reported here):
He continued, “If you don’t know Jesus Christ as your lord and savior, if you don’t have a relationship, if he’s not the master of your life, if you’ve never gotten on your knees and asked him to forgive you of your sins, or if you are just a pretty good guy or a pretty good gal, you’re going to go to hell.”
This was the most disheartening news I have read all week. Please don't believe this falsehood.

If you never believe anything else I might write here, please at least believe me here when I say that this horrible pagan Hell Doctrine is completely false; and God is the Savior of ALL mankind.

"Hell" is the Norse goddess of the underworld, daughter of Loki who is brother of Thor the son of Odin.

The Hell Doctrine people are not getting their revelations, knowledge and truth from the Greek Scriptures sounds like they are getting these from a Stan Lee/Marvel comic book.

Let's ignore this "bad news" from the moron Waltrip and instead read this "good news" from the apostle (special messenger) Paul here in his 1st letter to Timothy 4:9:
Faithful is the saying and worthy of all welcome (for for this are we toiling and being reproached), that we rely on the living God, Who is the Saviour of all mankind, especially of believers.  These things be charging and teaching.
Knowledge and truth from the apostle Paul here.

Matt, the National Prayer Breakfast is sponsored by the "The Family."

See The Family: The Secret Fundamentalism at the Heart of American Power. There was a big exposé in the press about this a few years ago.

"The Family" is another name of The Fellowship

Yep, just saw this. If I didnt care I wouldn't even bother. To not bother would be hateful.

1Timothy 4:10 Savior of all people.
The call to repentance and salvation is extended to all people (Matthew 11:28) especially of those who believe.
Salvation is God's Gift, in particular to those who trust in his provision in Christ.

Many are called but few are chosen
Matthew 22:14
Many hear but few believe. Many are the the members of the visible Church but few of the invisible Church.

The Lord is not slow about his promise, as some count slowness, but is patient toward you, not wishing for any to perish but for all to come to repentance.
2 Peter 3:9

For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten son and who so ever Shall Believe in him shall not perish but have everlasting life
John 3:16

I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to God the Father except through me. -Jesus Christ

Jesus willingly gave up his life in order to pay a debt that we as sinners could not pay ourselves. The Old Testament is filled with Covenants between God and his people. But mankind being Wicked broke each and every Covenant and did so repeatedly. That's one of the things that the Bible teaches us. No one is righteous no not one. Left to our own individual devices we f**** up. Collectively we f***** everything up. And even when we try to make amends we f***** that up too. We are rotten to the Core even in the best of intentions we are corrupt. And so even our good works God counts as dirty filthy rags. Not Sinners because we sin but we sin because we're sinners. A dog isn't a dog because it barks, it barks because it's a dog.

He is God. Almighty. Sovereign. Truth is absolute. Pluralism is meaningless.

Matt,  from where does your authority come from to slice and dice up the word of God like it's a magazine or newspaper?  To say that all fall under God's grace irregardless completely negates the need for good news.

If you never believe anything else I might write here, please at least believe me here when I say that this horrible pagan Hell Doctrine is completely false; and God is the Savior of ALL mankind.

Guess what, Matt? I accept and agree with everything you've written EXCEPT this.  This is a flat out lie. you have no idea!

Indeed the stakes are much higher then you have imagined. the Bible tells us that God has placed eternity in our hearts.  To be absent from the body is to be in the presence of God. to reject the gift of salvation is to choose to be separated from God FOREVER.  Our life on this planet is literally a drop in a bucket.  In fact all that is good and right and pure and fulfilling in this world comes from God.  For believers in Jesus Christ this life is as bad as it gets.  For unbelievers this life is as good as it gets.

In 1 Corinthians chapter 15 Paul is redundant in explaining the following....

For if Christ has not been raised our faith is futile, we are still dead in our sins.  Furthermore, telling others that Christ conquered the grave makes us false Witnesses and blasphemers and of all people we are to be pitied the most .

"Hell" is the Norse goddess of the underworld, daughter of Loki who is brother of Thor the son of Odin.

What?!  Now that's Marvel comic book material for sure!

the knowledge and truth of the Greek scriptures

What?!  It's the knowledge and Truth of God, Matt. - written in Greek.
