Wiktor Szary and Marcin Goclowski — Ahead of Minsk Peace Talks US Says Will Be Training Ukraine Troops Come March

It's on. US acts unilaterally without waiting for talks to begin.
U.S. Army Europe commander Ben Hodges said on Wednesday the U.S. army will provide training to Ukrainian troops battling Russian-backed separatists in the country's east.

The training mission will start in March, with one battalion of U.S. soldiers training three Ukrainian battalions, Hodges said during a visit to a NATO base at Szczecin in north-west Poland.

The US should offer Ukraine and Greece statehood and claim a refreshed Monroe doctrine in the pivot to Asia. It would really tie panties in knots and redefine US hegemony in more explicit terms. If we are going to be the bogeyman behind every political conflict, we might as well really be the bogeyman and do it right. The US wouldn't do green unlabeled contractors, we'd do shock and awe, roll the marines in guns blazing.

Yes, exactly. Why play so coy? Everyone knows our aims anyway. We don't even pretend to hide what we are doing.

The US army training neo-nazis is not something that we see everyday.

The Stars and Stripes side by side with the Nazi Runes and Wolfsangels should make for a great photo op.

We'll train them and you'll kill them. Another win-win for the empire.
