The problem I have with this sort of framing -- whether the ruthless Obama pushing a hapless Europe into War, An expansive Putin determined to re-create the USSR, or as Cameron described in Kazakhstan, a United Europe that once again stretches from the Atlantic to the Urals. What about the Ukranians? What do they want? Or is that just being thick skulled and ignoring the international intrigue? Their economy was terrible under their former government. They were among the poorest countries in Europe and Asia.

Since when has what the people actually want counted anywhere?
